ABOUT WAYPOINTS WEST
As adventurers, explorers and off-road enthusiasts, we are ever on the hunt for new and interesting destinations. The more bizarre, remote and unknown, the better. The nature of these locations, however, makes them difficult to track down. Most do not appear on modern maps, some are intentionally kept secret, and others can only be found by those who have been there before. In our own travels, we have longed for a guide, a map perhaps, that could point us to these hidden places. Our research yielded few results. Some information exists in old archives, outdated maps and through online sources, but it is often incomplete, and exact coordinates omitted.

Now, however, after more than a decade of data collecting from various sources, and expeditionary work on the ground, we have compiled a massive list of incredible destinations within the Western United States. These include ghost towns, gold mines, shipwrecks, plane crashes, abandoned military installations and natural sites. At Waypoints West, members can access detailed information and exact coordinates from an ever growing archive of the West's best kept secrets. These are the places you won't find on a map.
New locations are added to Waypoints West at least twice a month. We are currently covering California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii. |
